Announcing an open call for all Redwood students who want to act, write plays, or design for theater . . . . .

Redwood Middle School has its own Drama Club!  All students are welcome to join us on Fridays after school until 5:00, starting September 1st.  We will be in the Flex Room. If YOU are interested, please sign up here.

September 1st, 3:10-5:00: Introductory Meeting.  

September 8th, 3:10-5:00: Meeting. Election of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade representatives 

September 15th, 3:10-5:00: Meeting.

September 22nd, 3:10-5:00: Meeting. 

September 29th, 3:10-5:00: Meeting. 

October 6th, 3:10-5:00: Meeting. 

October 13th, 3:10-5:00: Meeting. 

October 27th, 3:10-5:00: Meeting. 

November 3rd, 3:10-5:00: Meeting. 

November 17th, 3:10-5:00: Meeting. 

RMS Drama Club and the International Thespian Society (ITS)

• The RMS Drama Club will be a Junior ITS Troupe (See here.)
• This allows RMS Drama Club to participate in festivals and workshops (see for example the California Junior Thespian Festival http://cetoweb.org/cst/junior-thespian-festival/ ) Our target right now is to plan to participate in 2025 if our 2023-2024 pilot year is successful.
• The Saratoga High School Drama Club is structured as an International Thespian Society (ITS) Troupe. Part of our goal is to provide a pathway (and interaction) from the RMS Drama Club directly to the SHS Drama Club.

RMS Drama Club Officers

We elect 6th, 7th, and 8th grade representatives during our September meetings. We elect the remaining  officers from the current year's 6th and 7th graders during an April meeting.  Interested students should be ready to give a 1 minute speech to their fellow students about their commitment to the responsibilities of the office, and we will be holding elections during the meeting.
