WHEN AND WHERE DOES THE CLUB MEET?

In the Fall the club meets on Mondays from 3:10-5:00pm. In the Spring, after the Musical closes, the club switches and meets on Fridays from 3:10-5:00pm.

** Please Note: Especially in the Fall, this is a flexible club and students that have other commitments are still encouraged to come if they can participate some of  the times/days. During the spring when we start work on the show we ask for a little more commitment but even so there is flexibility because there are many roles, including non-acting roles. Don’t let a busy schedule discourage you!

FIRST MEETING: “Bring a Friend Day” on Monday, August 31st at 3:30-5pm (Flex Rm). Drama is much more fun with buddies! Bring 1 or 10, bring them all and join us for lots of fun and laughter!

WHAT DO STUDENTS DO DURING MEETINGS?

In the fall the club focuses on teamwork, creativity and performing arts skills. In the spring we take everything we’ve learned from the year and apply it by creating the Club’s Spring Production. Students choose a play and take on various roles in directing, stage managing, acting, and designing. The show is presented in May.

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

RMS Drama Club helps prepare students for leadership roles by electing 6th, 7th and 8th grade representatives. Roles include: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasure, Historian, Scribe, etc.

INTERNATIONAL THESPIAN SOCIETY:

Members of RMS Drama Club have the opportunity, depending on attendance and performance participation, to enroll in the Junior ITS (International Thespian Society) where they can attend festivals, workshops, submit pieces and earn recognition. This is a direct pathway into Saratoga High School's ITS Troupe.

RECOMMENDED DONATION:

While registering for RMS Drama Club you will notice a recommended donation. While purely voluntary, if you are able to contribute, your donation goes towards instructor fees, supplies, royalties, and festival submission fees. Donations are crucial to the success of the club and we appreciate any amount you are able to give. Thank you for your support!
