REDWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL SPEECH AND DEBATE (S&D) CLUB

Redwood Middle School Speech & Debate Club was founded as a way to foster student’s communication, collaboration, critical thinking  and leadership skills through Speech and Debate Activities.

Club is tentatively expected to start on Sep 9th. You will receive an email beginning of September with your allotted day. 

REGISTRATION DATES/NOTES TO REMEMBER:

1. Speech and Debate Speech and Debate Club 2026-27 Registration

2. Registration deadline by 8/28 or when max capacity is reached 

3. Students who have completed the registration will be given priority on a first come first serve basis. If we exceed our max capacity we may have to waitlist late registrations. Please email

   snd-admin@redwoodmiddlepta.org if you are interested in joining and the deadline is past. Depending on number of registrations, we may be able to accommodate you.

5. Suggested Donation ($550) (Membership Tool Kit - Speech and debate form payment) which is used to cover coach's fees

How to donate (Please note: donations are non-refundable):

Through Redwood PTA Membership Toolkit:

1. Create an account in Redwood Middle PTA Membership Toolkit or log in if you are an existing member.

2. Become a PTA member ($6) and contribute the suggested amount ($160). The PTA membership dues ($6), and recommended donation ($160) ensures that our clubs and programs are supported by our insurance/policies.

3. After you create an account, log in, click on “My Account”, and Click “My Forms/ Paperwork”. 

4. After filling up the form, click “Add to Cart”, then “Proceed to Checkout”.

5. Check out your cart, and click on "Place Order" - only then your order is placed. You will receive an email confirmation afterward - if not, your order has NOT gone through.

By Check:

1. Write a check to “Redwood PTA” with  “Speech & Debate Club 2025-26” & your child’s name/grade in the memo line.

2. Drop the check in the school office. 

3. The receipt could be downloaded through your PTA account if needed: Sign in > On the menu bar, Click My Account > Previous Orders > Click on the Order Number - highlight in blue.

Remember to Double/Triple Your Impact with Corporate Matching:

1. Check with your Organization's HR to find out details about your company’s gift-matching program.

2. Donate directly within the corporate matching platform (i.e. Benevity, etc). Use PTA information to send donations and specify 'Speech and Debate club'.

3. Send corporate matching records to snd-admin@redwoodmiddlepta.org.

4. When making a donation through corporate matching portals, donate to RMS PTA and write Speech & Debate Club - [Your Student's Name/ Grade] in the memo/note section. *RMS PTA is registered as a 501 (3)(c) charitable organization - US Fed IRS EIN 94-617381.
