Redwood Middle School Spelling Bee Club 2025

Welcome to the 2025 Spelling Bee Club at Redwood Middle School! Our club is a fun and engaging way for students to strengthen their spelling skills, expand their vocabulary, and explore the richness of the English language through interactive games, reading, and competitions.

About the Club

• Who Can Join? All students who love words and enjoy challenges!

• Meeting Dates: First Tuesdays of each month: October 7, November 4, December 2, January 6, February 3

• Timings: After School 

• Spelling Bee Practice: Additional parent-led practice sessions (schedule TBD)

• Parent Involvement: Your help with practice bees and transportation is greatly appreciated! Signup opportunities will be shared once registration closes.

• Location: RMS Library

• Lead Teacher: Cristin Reichmuth, Argonaut Elementary

• Minimum Participants: 5 students required to run the club

• Donation: $150 per student to cover registration and other club costs

• Registration Deadline: September 26, 2025

Study Materials

The club uses official study materials from the National Scripps Spelling Bee, including word lists and other resources designed to prepare students for qualifiers and beyond, helping them master vocabulary and understand word origins through engaging activities.

How to Register

1. Log in or create an account on the Redwood Middle PTA Membership Toolkit
2. Go to My Account → My Forms/Paperwork (https://www.redwoodmiddlepta.org/packet/30579)
3. Complete the Spelling Bee Club form, add it to your cart, and checkout
4. You will receive an email confirmation once your registration and donation are complete

Competition Opportunities

The Redwood Spelling Club prepares participants for the School-level Bee and Regional Contest qualifiers, with the chance to advance to the National Scripps Spelling Bee.
